Being Oneself

20120908-103011.jpg

If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.

Everything in this world is constantly trying to change us. And if we don’t make sure that the change is in the direction we want, then most probably we will be walking on someone else’s road. And for sure they haven’t planned much for us.
Its good to stand for a cause, a dream or a goal. It gives us some divine energy. I have experienced both sides so i can vouch for the divinity of the energy. Its like a shield that protects us from the outside world which is trying to divert us. Being ourself in this world that is constantly tring to change is certainly an achievement.
What is it that you stand for?
Have a wonderful day.

Hello World part 2

Seems like it’s been ages since i wrote something here. I agree that blogging requires discipline. But this is not just a blog for me to convey something the world, its more of a personal insight that i get while writing. A lot has happened in my life in the past months. I will try to narrate in short because things like this can be ranted endlessly. May be i will dedicate a new blog post on that topic.
On other fronts exam season is coming nearer. Strategies need to planned and executed.
Also football season is nearing. And Arsenal look stronger than ever. So stronger that loosing RVP doesnt scare us.

I started using my real name now on the blog and also uploaded how i look like. This gives me a personalized feel while blogging. Ofcourse blogging annonymously has its own perks, but i somehow didnt fancy it.

Have a good day people. Smile often.. Someone is in need.

Development of Heart (Dr. Blandau’s Classic Animation)

If you seek it, it will find you.

Some things are classic. They are passed down from one generation to another. I am grateful to have benefited from this video which was made more than 50 years ago to explain the development of heart.

Thank You Dr. Richard Blandau (1911 – 1998)

An Interesting Fact and The Formula of Success

Two interesting things i learned today. Let me share them with you. One is an interesting fact about and enzyme which bugs my head when i read its name. And the other one is which bugs everyones brain, Success! Yes i read the formula of success.

Firstly about Carbonic Anhydrase. When i read this name some confused neurones in my brain start firing. Let that be, its a matter of time before i orient them.
As you might know it catalyses a reversible reaction causing dehydration of bicarbonate into water and CO2. This way of reaction is RAPID and the reverse goes slow. I came across a practical example.
Soda when it is left in bottle it looses gas slowly. But when u hold it in mouth, its starts forming gas rapidly. Courtesy the carbonic anhydrase in saliva.
My search for CA in nephron made me land across this interesting fact.

Now the formula of success i read in one Napoleon Hill Foundation book, Three Feet From Gold

(T+P) x A x A = Success

T- Talent
P- Passion
A- Association with Right People
A- Action

Good Luck Everybody..

Quote #3 (Infinite Beauty)

20120514-010653.jpg

The great opportunity is where you are. Do not despise your own place and hour. Every place is under the stars, every place is the center of the world. -John Burroughs

We are the centre of our world (if theory of infinite universe is true, then where ‘you‘ are is the centre of the world.) Dont let anyone else take that from you. Value it and you will see infinite beauty in each direction you look…each direction! Provided you are the centre of your world.

Dream Med in Heaven

Its knocking
Opportunity.
Its waiting
Destiny.
There are You!
Caught you!
Dreaming?
Get moving.

-Happy Doctor

Taxi Ride

20120512-224157.jpg

I go to Dadar TT, I have to get to my class. I search for a taxi to help me reach on time and to beat the summer sweat of walking. Those taxi drivers have their own attitude, we are left at their wish usualy.
I see a Q of taxis lined up. As I am walking from back I approach the last one in the Q.

He is a man with long hair. Punjabi looking, sturdy man. He is talking intently with another man standing besided his taxi. Big chance he was going to say no to me and I was prepared to move to next taxi.
I say “Dadar West?”
He says “Yes, sit”

He is still standing outside talking to that man. I was wondering why din’t he ask where in Dadar West did I want to go. I sat quietly.

Couple of minutes later he is seated in driver seat and asks me where to go. I reply with my destination.

Some minutes pass, he speaks “Thank God you came, that man was boring me… I dint know how to get away”

I smiled.

Unknowingly Knowing

Venue: Medicine OPD

An intern was sitting across the table with two lady Associate Professors of Medicine. Both are highly experienced and are respected by the intern.

A medicine Resident enters. He is excited. “Ma’am we have a case of syphillis confirmed.” (joy is on his face, as not always we witness syphillis)

“Ok” say the doctors

Intern watches quietly.

Resident speaks “Whats the dose of Penicillin we use?” (expectantly awaits, excitement still showing on face)

One doctor looks at other, they look at each other. And then they use their weapon. Authority! “Go look in Washington’s Manual”

Resident’s excitement vanishes and leaves the OPD. (duno what he did beyond)

Intern watches quietly. He learnt a lesson. His respect for the doctors across the table some how grew even more. Because they taught him something which goes beyond books.

Today that intern (then) is reading penicillins in pharmacology and will always remember the 2.4 Million Units of penicillin and the lesson worth more than 2.4 Million.

Einsten-ish Theory cant exaplain this phenomenon, can it ?
